I consider myself pretty lucky in that my children are healthy.  Isn’t that one of those things that we hope for… health and happiness.  This is a story about a little girl at the age of four that was diagnosed with cancer.  It is hard to believe that such a young child can have such a horrible thing happen to them.  Back in 2000 Alex decided that she would try and help raise money to help doctor’s find a cure for cancer.  Isn’t that taking the bull by the horns?  Well unfortunately Alex passed away in 2004 but not before being able to set an incredible example to many of us.  Since the first time that Alex has set up her lemonade stand on her front lawn there has been 12 million dollars raised to help with the cure for childhood cancer.  It is hard for me to capture this amazing story to the depth that is so well deserves.  For any of us that have children and can’t go to sleep without kissing them goodnight at least once if not twice before we can sleep please read about Alex’s Lemonade Stand.  I will be kissing my children a few more times before I close my eyes tonight.
